Game Rules

  • Objective: split seven cards into three hands, a 4-card High hand, a 2-card Medium hand and a 1-card Low hand, and beat the banker's matching hands in at least two of the three. Asia Poker (亞洲撲克) is a cousin of Pai Gow Poker that's popular in Atlantic City.
  • The deck: 52 cards plus one Joker. You and the banker each get seven cards.
  • The High hand (4 cards): an ordinary poker hand, but with only four cards. From best to worst: Four Aces, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, One Pair, then high card. There is no full house. Among straights and straight flushes, A-K-Q-J is the highest, A-2-3-4 is second highest and 2-3-4-5 is the lowest.
  • The Medium hand (2 cards): a pair (best is Aces) or ranked by its high cards. There are no straights or flushes in a two-card hand. The Low hand (1 card) is just one card, and the Ace is the best.
  • The Joker: it counts as an Ace, or it can complete a straight, a flush or a straight flush in your High hand. In the Medium and Low hands it is always an Ace.
  • Setting your hands: each hand must rank at least as high as the one below it, so High at least Medium and Medium at least Low. For example, if your Medium hand is a pair of Kings, your High hand must be at least a pair of Kings, and your Low hand can't be better than a King. The game won't let you set an illegal group of hands.
  • Placing a bet: type the amount you want to bet in the bet box. Min 1, max 500. The bet is taken from your chips when you press Deal, and it stays in the box for the next round.
  • Playing a round: press Deal. You get seven cards face up and the banker's seven are dealt face down. Tap two cards to swap them until you're happy with your three hands, or press Auto set to arrange them the same way the banker does. Then press Set hands and the banker's hands are turned over, Low hand first.
  • Winning and losing: if you beat the banker in at least two of your three hands, you win 1:1 with no commission. If you win one hand or none, you lose your bet. There are no pushes.
  • Ties: the banker wins every tie (called a copy). Two equal hands count as a win for the banker.
  • Each round uses a freshly shuffled deck, and the cards are decided before they are dealt. The banker is always the house in this demo, and there's no banker rotation.
  • This is a demo with play chips only. It is not linked to an account and resets when you refresh the page. You can switch between Gold coins and Diamonds between rounds; each has its own balance.
