Game Rules

  • Objective: bet on which side gets the higher card, the Dragon or the Tiger, or on the two cards being the same rank (a Tie). Dragon Tiger (龍虎) is one of the fastest card games in Asian casinos: each round is just two cards.
  • Card ranking: Ace is lowest, then 2 through 10, Jack, Queen and King is highest. Suits don't matter, only the rank.
  • Placing bets: pick a chip value, or type a custom amount, then tap Dragon, Tiger and/or Tie to add to that bet. Undo and Clear manage your bets. Min 1, max 500 per spot. Your bets stay on the table between rounds.
  • Playing a round: press Deal. One card goes to the Dragon and one to the Tiger, face down. The Dragon's card is turned over first, then the Tiger's, and the round is settled.
  • Dragon and Tiger: if your side has the higher card, the bet pays 1:1. If the other side has the higher card, you lose the bet.
  • Tie: if both cards have the same rank, a Tie bet pays 11:1. Dragon and Tiger bets lose only half their stake on a Tie, and the other half is returned.
  • The shoe: cards are dealt from an eight-deck shoe that is reshuffled when it runs low. The shoe size is shown at the table.
  • Odds: a Tie comes up about 7.5% of the time (roughly 1 round in 13). The Dragon and the Tiger each win about 46.3% of rounds.
  • House edge: a Dragon or Tiger bet costs about 3.7% on average, and the two sides are exactly equal. The Tie bet costs about 10.4%, much more, because it only wins about 7.5% of the time.
  • The recent-results row (blue D, orange T, green =) is just a record of past rounds. It can't predict the next card: every round is independent.
  • This is a demo with play chips only. It is not linked to an account and resets when you refresh the page. You can switch between Gold coins and Diamonds when no bets are on the table; each has its own balance.
