Game Rules
- Objective: bet on the number, color, or section where the ball will land.
- Roulette is a classic game of chance — predict which numbered, colored pocket a spun ball will land in. This is single-zero (European) roulette, which has a lower house edge than double-zero (American) roulette.
- The wheel has 37 numbered pockets: 1 to 36, plus a single green pocket for 0.
- The numbers 1 to 36 alternate between red and black.
- The table is a felt layout with a grid of numbers and additional areas for other bet types.
- Players place their chips on the layout to make their wagers before the round begins.
- The dealer (croupier) spins the wheel in one direction and the ball in the other, then announces "No more bets!" — after which no chips may be placed, changed, or removed.
- The ball eventually lands in one of the numbered pockets, determining the winning number.
- The dealer marks the winning number, sweeps away all losing bets, and pays out winning bets.
- Bets fall into two categories: Inside Bets (on specific numbers, higher payouts, lower odds) and Outside Bets (on larger groups, colors, or ranges, lower payouts, higher odds).
- Straight Up: a bet on a single number, including 0, placed directly on that number's square. Pays 35:1.
- Split: a bet on two adjacent numbers, placed on the line shared by the two numbers. Pays 17:1.
- Street: a bet on three consecutive numbers in a horizontal row, placed on the outer edge of the first number in the row. Pays 11:1.
- Corner (Square): a bet on four numbers that meet at a single corner, placed where the four numbers intersect. Pays 8:1.
- Basket (First Four): a bet covering 0, 1, 2, and 3, placed in the corner where 0 and 3 touch. Pays 6:1.
- Six Line (Double Street): a bet on six consecutive numbers across two adjacent rows, placed on the outer corner where the two rows meet. Pays 5:1.
- Red or Black: a bet on the color of the winning number. Pays 1:1 (even money).
- Odd or Even: a bet on whether the winning number is odd or even. The 0 is neither odd nor even, so odd/even bets lose if the ball lands on 0. Pays 1:1 (even money).
- High or Low (1-18 or 19-36): a bet on whether the winning number falls in the low or high half of the board. Pays 1:1 (even money).
- Dozen Bets: a bet on one of three groups of 12 numbers (1st dozen 1-12, 2nd dozen 13-24, 3rd dozen 25-36). Pays 2:1.
- Column Bets: a bet on one of the three vertical columns of 12 numbers. Pays 2:1.
